Our patent was recently granted by the European Patent Office (EPO), confirming the groundbreaking nature of our technology. How the Nearfaces App Works With the Nearfaces app, you can easily find out if your friends are nearby—without sharing your location. When a friend is detected within a range of up to 250 meters, you’ll receive a discreet notification on your smartphone. No location sharing: Thanks to our patented technology, you can detect nearby friends without using GPS or sharing your location. Works everywhere: The app works reliably both indoors and outdoors—and even without an Internet connection. No extra hardware: All you need is your smartphone. The Nearfaces app uses the existing features of your device and is compatible with both iPhone and Android models. Nearfaces has been nominated for the 2026 Global Leadership Prize of the Tällberg Foundation – one of the world’s most selective recognition’s for responsible technology.
